Computer Technical Specialist - Level 2

As a member of our team at Smart Computers and Consulting, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service and technical support to end-users. This includes deskside hardware support, provisioning, installations, and upgrades for new user setups. You will configure and maintain laptops, collaboration applications, iPads, Chromebooks, and other technology to ensure optimal performance.

You will also provide technical support and hardware setup for remote users, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Additionally, you will manage and maintain printers, perform toner replacement,maintenance, and repairs, and regularly audit hardware inventory.

To ensure efficient operations, you will create and maintain support and process documentation and collaborate with other teams to resolve complex technical issues.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Experience with audio-visual/meeting room setup and support
  • Experience with mobile devices, including iPhones and Android phones
  • Experience with hardware inventory management
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision

Computer Technical Specialist - Level 1

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Computer Technician Specialist at Smart Computers and Consulting. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to computer system users, answering questions and resolving computer problems for clients in person, via telephone, or from remote locations. To succeed in this position, you must possess strong communication skills and be very teachable, as we are willing to train the right candidate.

As a Computer Technician Specialist, you will be expected to provide excellent customer service to our clients, addressing their needs with a professional and friendly demeanor. You will work on-site to complete repairs on a variety of different equipment, including installing and working with horizontal cabling systems, running network wires, and having knowledge of fiberoptic splicing would be a plus.

In addition to technical expertise, prior sales or customer service experience would be beneficial in this role. You must have a valid driver's license and good driving record, as you will use company vehicles to service off-site customers. Working Monday through Friday, you will also be expected to fulfill on-call hours as scheduled.

School Technical Specialist - Level 1

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Educational School Technician at Smart Computers and Consulting. As the School Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to computer system users, answering questions, and resolving computer problems for clients in person, via telephone, or from remote locations. You may also provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.

To excel in this position, you must possess excellent customer service skills and work collaboratively with local educational institutions. You will be providing assistance with curriculum and programs, and training may be required for professional development. Working on-site, you will also complete repairs on a variety of different equipment.

Prior sales or customer service experience would be beneficial in this role. You must have a valid driver's license and good driving record, as you will use company vehicles to service off-site customers. You must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Working Monday through Friday with on-call hours as scheduled, this position offers a starting wage of $22 to $30 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Educational background is preferred, and benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
