Jeremy Berger is the President and Owner of Smart Computers & Consulting. He has been professionally fixing other people’s technology problems since 2008. With a degree in Computer Science and nearly two decades at the helm of Smart Computers, Jeremy has built his career around making technology actually useful. His experience spans IT solutions, networking, cybersecurity, and helping businesses figure out what technology they really need (and what they really don’t). He’s a problem solver by nature and a firm believer that good IT shouldn’t require a computer science degree to understand. Whether he’s helping a local business strengthen its network, keeping an eye on the latest cybersecurity threat, or figuring out why something that worked perfectly yesterday suddenly refuses to cooperate today, Jeremy likes solving the problems everyone else would rather avoid. More than anything, he’s built Smart Computers around a pretty simple idea: take care of people, solve the problem, and don’t make technology more complicated than it already is.
Chase Twogood
Chase Twogood is the Operations Manager at Smart Computers & Consulting and the guy who helps keep both the technology—and the people behind it—running smoothly. With nearly two decades in IT, Chase has worked his way through just about every corner of the industry, from service desks and network operations to systems engineering, network administration, and IT leadership. He joined Smart Computers as a Field Engineer before stepping into his current role as Operations Manager, bringing a rare combination of serious technical know-how and the ability to keep the bigger picture in focus. His experience covers networking, servers, Microsoft environments, virtualization, cybersecurity, device management, backups, and a long list of other things most people are perfectly happy never having to think about. Chase is especially good at taking complicated technology problems, figuring out what’s actually going on, and getting things moving in the right direction—preferably before anyone has to resort to turning everything off and back on again. Around Smart Computers, he helps make sure the team, the technology, and the day-to-day operation all work the way they should. Which, as anyone who works in IT knows, is sometimes easier said than done.
